Plant What You Want To Grow: Accountability, Compassion, And Courage
Ever notice how a single whisper can split a room, a church, even a family? We pull back the curtain on how seeds of doubt get planted in our hearts and our headlines, and we talk about what it takes to stop watering confusion and start growing understanding. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:7, we lean into the promise that God gives clarity, while people often sow noise—and we map out how to respond with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
We share real talk on priorities: questioning the policies and choices that shape daily life while trusting God with the mysteries we can’t control. From media spin to political theater, we unpack why “first takes” are often wrong and how to build a habit of research before reaction. You’ll hear why every action has a reaction, why delayed consequences trick us into denial, and how to own our part without drowning in blame. The focus is simple: plant better seeds today so you don’t have to uproot a forest tomorrow.
Our kids are watching, and they’re learning how to handle conflict from us. That’s why we stress the power of accountability in families, the need to model calm over chaos, and the call to show up in our communities with conviction. We talk about using civic power wisely—voting, organizing, replacing leaders who won’t serve—and replacing old seeds of fear with new ones: understanding, compassion, acceptance, and purpose. We close with a heartfelt prayer for families, students, workers, and anyone feeling worn down by the weight of the world, and we offer a simple charge: be the light in someone else’s darkness.

Hello one and all, it is me, Stephanie. And before we start to set our soul free, I want to remind you to don't forget to subscribe to the channel, click the like, and leave a comment. Also, don't forget to hit the little notification bell so you know when new videos post. As always, I know we won't always agree, and that's okay. Man wasn't meant to always agree with one another. That's what makes our world that God created unique because everyone has a difference of opinion, and I'm okay with it. Leave your comments so we can keep the conversation going. Remember, it's not about me, it's about you, it's about our youth, it's about setting our souls free with me, Stephanie. So let's get into it. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. Wherever you are, in whatever part of the country you may live in, I greet you and say thank you for blessing me with your presence. It is time to set your soul free with me, Stephanie. So let's see what we can be blessed with today. Hello, hello, hello. Long time no see, no here from. I know it has been a good minute since the last time we spoke. Life has kicked my family up one street, down another, through a corridor and out the door. But I'm still here. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night. Still got to start it off because I don't know where you are and where you're listening. But today we're going to talk about we must always understand. 2 Timothy 2 and 7 says, consider what I say, and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. We must always understand that there are forces working against us, turning us against each other. It has become so easy for them to achieve this, sad to say, because we know things that are right and good, and we seem to let others slip in and plant the seed of doubt. If you want to talk about everything that is going on in the world as we speak as of right now, there is your confirmation. We know what is true, we know what is not true, but we still have people that are so focused on the drama end of it that you're not paying attention, that you're not seeing what they're really doing. All they have to do is just plant one little seed of doubt and let it spread. As the seed grows, so does the confusion that was set in our spirit with this election. The seed was planted months before the election and they just let it grow. And what happened? We got what we got. Now, new seeds are being planted. All they gotta do is just sit down and let it grow. If we don't start standing up for what we know is right, if we don't start standing in for those who can't, it's gonna get worse. If you think it's bad now, oh, it's going to get worse. We now start to question what the preacher's preaching, or we now start to question what the Bible is saying, and we now end up questioning who we are and what our purpose here on earth. Think about that. We question everything else but the things we need to question. God created the heavens and the earth. Well, how did he do that out of nowhere? Da-da-da-da-da-da, blah blah blah blah. But something's happening in your own city where a law has changed and you don't question that. You let that go. We're questioning the wrong things. Our priorities have gone askew. Where the things that we should be questioning, that really determines whether we live, whether we die, whether we eat, whether we don't, whether we keep a house or a job, or whether we lose everything, we're not questioning. But we want to question things that are beyond, way beyond our control. Anything that God has done, you wake up every morning, you see his glories every day, but you want to question it. But things that are within your control, you just let go. That's not right. The scripture says the Lord will give you understandings in all things. That means when that seed begins to sprout, turn to the Lord for your answers. He's not the God of confusion. Man is out to confuse and break God's people apart. Man is what is tearing families apart over foolishness because someone planted a seed and allowed it to grow. God's word was never meant to confuse us, but to lead and guide us to where we should be and show how we can get there and how we can bring others with us. When we crack a door of misunderstanding, it's a crack big enough for someone to plant a seed of confusion without our knowledge. The way the world is today, that's your biggest confirmation. The minute you don't close a door all the way, you leave it open enough for somebody just to put that seed right there and let it grow. Let it fester, let it break apart everything that you work so hard to put together. Where God doesn't confuse, man does. There is no gray area when it comes to the Lord. What he says is what he means. With man, there's a gray area, a purple area, a magenta area. Sometimes there ain't no area at all. They just tell you straight out because they know you're not gonna do nothing about it. And that's the problem. We let so many things slide that now when we try to backtrack and fix it, well, it's too late. That plant done grew into a big tree with a thick bark. It's gonna take a lot for you to try to chop it down now. And that's it's sad. The children are not having to step in and solve problems for themselves because the adults are too busy arguing with each other. Nobody's listening to nobody. You say you're there representing the children, advocating the children, but your agenda is not what the children need. Your agenda is not what they told you they needed, what they wanted. It's no wonder that children are handling things on their own and handling it more peacefully than an adult. What does that say about the adults? It's it's just it's just sad. It could be done with a word and or an action that we just don't catch in time. Always trust in the Lord, He will always be a couple of steps ahead of those trying to come in between us and Him. When overtaken by confusion and doubt, fall on your knees and seek your answers there in the presence of the Master. There's a lot of things that we will never understand. And there's a lot of things our Father won't let us understand because we're not ready. You know, we question what happened in the Bible. So, what would we think we would do if he actually showed us this is why this is happening, this is why this is this is why you went through this. This is what do you think we were gonna do with that information if he actually let us understand everything that happens to us? We wouldn't know how to handle it. So, no, he doesn't let us understand everything, but he lets us understand the things in our time when he's ready, when he feels we're ready to receive it, to understand it. There's a difference between knowing something because we just want to know it, but then knowing something because we can understand. This is why I went through this. I get it. This is why this was done to me. This is why when I did this and this happened with this, and then this action caused this reaction. Now I understand why. A lot of things that happen to us is because we did it. It bothers me to no end when somebody says, Well, why did God let this happen? He didn't. But when we're so gung-ho thinking we know how to do everything, we know what's best, and da-da-da-da, and this and that, and then when it backfires and it ends up worse than it was before, now we want to do, oh God, why hast thou forsaken me? No, don't put that on him. He didn't do that, you did. Humans don't never want to take responsibility for their own actions. The one thing I always mentor to my young people is every action has a reaction. A lot of reactions don't happen immediately because your action may take a minute. You know, your action planted a seed that may take a minute for it to grow, but when it comes back around and comes and get you, that's the reaction to your action. Adults are real bad about that. Doing something or saying something and then be offended or appalled or surprised when it comes back around again. Well, that's what you started. That's that action seed that you planted. That depending on what you did, it took a minute for it to grow, for it to come back around and bite you in your behind. Every action has a reaction. What's going on down in the government? What's going on down in the world? Every action has a reaction. And eventually, the true children of the king are gonna say, you know what? Enough is friggin' enough. All of y'all are crazy. None of y'all are meant for my good. So I guess I'm gonna have to do stuff on my own. Legally, of course. We don't want you to get into any kind of trouble. But we have so much power. We put these people in office, we can take them back out of office. But we're so gung-ho on what they're doing is for this group of people or for this type of people, or for and now what you don't realize is you have those same group of people in your own family. You may not acknowledge them, you may not even know that they're there. But everything that's happening to everybody in this world is happening to everybody's family. Nobody is exempt. But when will it come enough for you to actually stand up and like, you know what? I'm sick of all of y'all. This is what we need to do. This is how we're gonna get it done. When you hear stuff in the news, one thing I always mentor to my young people when you hear stuff in the news, don't take it at first glance. A lot of times what they're putting out there is just so they can get it out there first. And the majority of the time it's wrong. It's all about you heard it here first. Well, yeah, and we heard it there wrong. So I tell people, now when you hear about it, okay, that's fine. Don't make no assumptions, don't make no remarks, don't make no comments, because I guarantee you the parts that you're gonna comment on are the parts that are wrong. They just want to get it out there first. Do your research. You know what sounds right, you know what sounds ridiculous, you know what makes sense, you know what doesn't. Before you make a comment on something and then you have to go back and apologize for it, or come up with another reason as to why you said it in the first place, do your research first. Everybody's pointing the fingers at everybody because nobody wants to be held accountable for anything. Do your research first. Who really did what? Who really stood up for what? Who really doesn't care? Figure that out. And then if you can do something about it in the polls, do it. Which apparently a lot of you all did this past time around. A lot of you actually paid attention, a lot of you all actually listened. You know, you figured it out yourself, and you sat there and showed them, look, nah, we're done. If y'all not gonna do something, we're gonna do it for you. We're gonna put people in there who really don't have a problem standing up for what's right, even if they have to stand by themselves. And that's what y'all did. That is exactly what you showed them. Now things are getting done because they see they don't have that power anymore. They're slowly losing that control. People are starting to wake up. The seed that they planted is starting to die out because we're not giving it the water it needs, the sunlight it needs, the nurturing it needs, because it doesn't need to grow. It needs to just disappear. A new seed needs to be planted. The seed of understanding, the seed of compassion, the seed of love, the seed of acceptance is what needs to be in its place. We need to take this world back city by city, state by state, country by country, person by person. We need to take back what we allow the devil to steal. It's time we take it back because this is getting to the ways of his past ridiculous. There's there's not even a word in the dictionary to describe what's going on right now. But going back to what we were talking about, we must always understand. Understand where your place is, understand what your purpose is. You may be that light in someone else's darkness, and they're watching you to see how you handle a situation, to see what you would do if this was you. What are you showing them? You can go to church all day and sit up there and take up a pew. You keep forgetting. Lucifer was an angel too, before he decided to go against God. So you have demons sitting in the church every Sunday, faithfully every Sunday, and some of them ever preaching in the pulpit, singing in the choir, playing on the keyboards, playing on the drums, on the motherboard, deacon board. It doesn't matter. But it's time to take our lives back, our souls back, our spirits back. But mostly it's time to take our children back. Children will only do what they see adults do. So if they see that we don't care, why should they care? If they see that we don't show compassion, why should they show compassion? It's time to take back everything we let the world steal. Because enough is enough. Let us pray, Father God, we come here today to say thank you. That even though, Father, we are not worthy, you still show us grace and mercy. Father, I pray for those all under the sound of my voice who are going through something that they may not want no one else to know. Father, we ask that you wrap your arms of comfort, your arms of understanding, your arms of compassion so they can do what they know they need to do to get back on the straight and narrow. Father, I ask a blessing for our children. Father, we're losing our children daily, doing things that they have no business doing because they don't have the right adult figure to lead and guide them. Father, I ask that you reach down into their souls, reach down into their spirits, Father, that when they know something is wrong, that they will stand up and take up for themselves. But Father, I ask a special blessing for the adults. Somewhere along the line, Father, when they put their foot down, they still pick it back up again and let things slide that they don't need to let slide. Father, we ask that you give our world the strength it once had to do whatever needed to be done to save those who need saving, to help those who need helping. Father, I just ask for your grace and mercy. Father, I ask for your forgiveness. Father, I just ask for your blessings. To bless the families that are going through things right now with the snap, Father, that are going through things now, Father, with the school systems, that are going through things now, Father, with the layoffs and people losing jobs and babies not able to stay in school anymore or colleges because of the funding. Father, we just ask that you step in, Father, and let them know that you have not forgotten them and don't give up. That whatever that they do, that they just keep on, keeping on. Father, we thank you, we praise you, we give you all the honor and glory in your son Jesus' name. We pray. Amen. And you know me as always, be that light in someone else's darkness. Stay safe, stay blessed.
